It’s always a treat to welcome the day with beautiful light. As the sun appeared over the Smoky Mountains and filled the valley, the morning fog of Cades Cove acted as a giant diffuser for the warm light and a lovely backdrop for my two favorite trees. Throughout the week I watched as their branches shed the leaves of the previous season, soon to begin the next cycle.
